End of the Road for Directories?

It has been well documented recently that Google has taken steps against some of the main players in the directory industry. Speculation is rife in many forums regarding this issue as well as Googles delayed PR update.

Addition of Blogs to webforumz.com

Righto... finally bit the jelsoft bullet and added blogs...

I particularly like the close integration into the forum and the akismet integration for spam control

Anyone with ma pingback/trackback and comments system will know full well that 93% of comments are pure spam.

I am still customising the blogs and will make an annoucement when these are open to the public.

If you manage to find this page before this annoucement then you are very clever...

A serious issue on chain-mail surveys

Okay so this is my very first Blog entry on Webforumz. It has very little to do with web design but everything to do with nothing to do with web design.

I'm not sure about the rest of you but I seem to constantly be getting spam-chain emails and myspace messages from friends and co-workers with these surveys that are so intrusive, irrelevant and time-leeching that I delete them immediately.

This was until a few months ago when I decided to start answering them, but...
