Missing the point

I'm not one for blogging usually but Oh my god.... is all I can say.
I just applied to this Association, the UKWDA then checked the first few companies in their list for validation -- the ones I checked all use tables and not ONE validated, more than half were missing doc types. Unbe-frickin-lievable
.
Has the UKWDA lost the plot or are they just completely ignorant? It seems they've missed the point for such an organisation to exist :/

Trouble is, they have been around almost as long as web design companies first started springing up.
They clearly have a lot of legacy data in their databases. Regardless, it serves primarily as a 'list' of web designers. The skill of the web design companies is not really relevant. |

I've been in that boat, my advice is to just get out now. Just set up a new account with a newer organization because they will at least give you more attention. good luck.
