A Week with VBulletin

Posted August 28th, 2008 at 05:13 PM by Jack Franklin
Myself and a friend had discussed doing a forum on our favourite game, Football Manager, for a while. We set one up with phpBB, but agreed that all the big successful rivals had either IPB or VB. Essentially, professional software which they had paid for.

I argued that phpBB can be skinned to not look as much like phpBB, but he said it would be worth it. We decided on VB, as it was slightly cheaper and my small experience using it here. So, we went halfs on a year leased license (deciding...

My Latest Project - Grilling Gurus...

Posted June 11th, 2008 at 03:30 PM by Jack Franklin
June the 10th. I suddenly thought that I wanted to interview people. I looked on the web, and there is no one place to find all the interviews.

Posted June 4th, 2008 at 01:18 PM by Jack Franklin

I must upload more pictures and try and get a feed going with my blog. Anyway, today I was on another forum reading about Twitter. Now, this is something I have never, ever, ever understood. Posting little messages about what you are doing? *yawn*. But actually, I can't stop posting! There's something addictive and I cannot seem to stop. I find myself styling my Twitter...

My Books! Halleluah!

Posted March 10th, 2008 at 04:57 PM by Jack Franklin
On February 20th, I ordered 2 books from Sitepoint, 'The PHP Anthology' and 'Simple Javascript'. I ordered quick delivery, and they were due by March 3rd. When they didn't arrive, I emailed them, and to be fair, they were great. They refunded my extra payment for quick delivery, and promised to reship if they did not arrive by the 10th.

They finally arrived! I'm really looking forward to getting some more advanced PHP stuff done and finally learning Javascript! Which I've been planning...
