I am a new user of mysql and I've got a few questions. first of all, I am using mysql-5.0.51a-win32.

I installed using windows install wizard and then did the whole opened up cmd, typed mysqld-nt --console, then mysql.
When I try to create a table, it gives me an error saying access is denied user'' @localhost does not have permission.

how do I set a username and password for mysql? Can someone help me link it to wordpress?

can someone point me to a tutorial that can help me set up mysql correctly?
