Re: Recipebite
Personally i dont like the dark background,
On the logo the writing is very difficult to read - dark writing on a dark background is not ideal.
On my computer all the text seems to be on the left leaving a large, black space on the right hand side of the page
It would be advisable to put the "latest articles" and everything beneath this in the right hand column.
Hope this is a good start for you

Re: Recipebite
yes, but i am looking for a critique for the layout, general placement of items and content to see of it looks good ( unfortunetly it was built using subdreamer, and i have not quite worked it out yet ) - dont worry, as soon as i do, i will be making my own, but what i wanted was not far off this, so i am just temperally using it.

Re: Recipebite
most of mine was layout - if you take some of the points i made into consideration it will give your site a nicer lie.

Re: Recipebite
To me, this is a horrible layout for a food website. Grunge, brown and orange? The color scheme and trendy layout actually makes me not hungry. I know you've posted your site up before, but to be honest, your last designs were light-years ahead of this one. Sorry that I don't have better news

Re: Recipebite
I like it myself but I'm not a big fan of reading about food. The content seems to be a bit too much for the start page. I would spread it out among the other pages.
I really like the layout. But thats just my pref. The design looks good except for the main image with fork and knife is pixelated.
If at all possible, change out the javascript menus to CSS menus. That way if someone who does not have js enabled tries to view it, they can still use the header menu.
