Recipebite.co.uk
I have changed a few things on my website, i have got rid of the image gallery, and have a pdf one instead, i have changed the background as suggested and i have also changed the index page, so its not so 'strong' as to scare people away..
please have a good look around and let me know what you think
p.s - i know it does not velidate, its the plugins i have used, and also, no, its not possible to get the menu to 'show' which page you are on, unfortunetly, subdreamer cannot do this yet
cheers

Re: Recipebite.co.uk
Why are you giving us the finger?
(Avatar)
Ooo.. like the new navigation, reminds me of a recipe box with tabbed recipe dividers. Could you show the tabs as a:link instead of just on a:hover?
I love all your graphics, photos, and love the layout. It looks like a top quality site that I would want to visit. It's really professional but with a twist. User friendly, and easy to navigate.

Re: Recipebite.co.uk
Im not keen on the header, seems to childish.
You have a good name to brand, think about branding it, with a logo with something being bitten out of something. Just as an idea. Find a colour scheme which makes you're mouth water, this is a food website, really push that.
Agree the background also need to be changed, nothing fancy though, maybe just a solid colour.

Re: Recipebite.co.uk
If I remember correctly isn't this site aimed at children?

Re: Recipebite.co.uk
OOOh, praise, thanks,
sorry, the a:link does not work with subdreamer
what colour background would you suggest ?
not too sure about the branding, if you have any ideas that would be cool ( my image devlopment skills are not up to par yet ) to be totally honest, someone else designed the header for me based on my own design ideas
p.s - the finger, just thorght it was funny
the site is based for parents about their kids, so i thorght a kiddie theme would point that out
