Repertoire 2007
Hi, haven't posted on here in a while.. been very busy with work - will hopefully post some of what I've been doing when I can.
http://www.repertoire-2007.co.uk - A mini flash site I created to accompany my girlfriend's uni art exhibition and the print material I created for it (Private view invites, Posters etc.)
Really not a big thing, just did this for fun - and because the ladies wanted some small bios of themselves and to help people to find the show for all the people they sent invites out to. I'll probably also add some images afterwards for them to show friends who couldn't make it etc.
Once again made some modifications to Ipari Grafika's rather funky opensource actionscript to create this. No accessible version as yet - but I have started work on the accessible version of my dead on arrival comic - http://www.dead-on-arrival.co.uk/access/

Re: Repertoire 2007
this is what we call flash done well
great looking site.
just one thing, it almost perfectly fits in my browser window
just with a slight vertical scroll.
eliminating it would be a plus

Re: Repertoire 2007
Very good, although i dont know how it would stand up SEO wise.
I suggest you find the flash fix for IE7 to stop the 'Click to activate and use this control' (see flash forum sticky). Overall i like it.

Re: Repertoire 2007
Alex - Thanks! - When testing at 1024x768 on my machines it seemed ok (thats with google toolbar aswell) - what browser/resolution are you using - because for firefox I had to use absolute sizing (the embed tags) on the movie because some bug with the pageflip actionscript- So if I reduce the V-size on that it should be ok (hopefully).
Vanessa - Thanks!
Marc - Thanks - With this site I really don't think SEO is a concern - people arriving on it will be direct via referral rather than the search engines.
Also thanks for the heads up on the IE7 fix - Will do this when I get home later.

Ah crap - just noticed I haven't embedded the font for the loading - another fix on the list.

Re: Repertoire 2007
The photos of the exhibitors are nice... but where is the art work? At least one sample of each would be great. Since it is visual art, simply describing their styles is not enough to make me want to visit the exhibit. Otherwise, great design work. Very professional.

Re: Repertoire 2007
Thanks Lchad, Rakuli, Marc and mamaphoenix for your kind comments.
I wish I could take complete credit for the script behind the page turning effect, but unfortunately I can't - http://www.iparigrafika.hu/ is the person who deserves that credit!
I appreciate the above comment - but unfortunately I don't have those photos yet. But after the advanced private view there should be some more multimedia content going on the site - photos/vids etc.
This is will be more for showing the people who couldn't make the viewing..
