Online Art Gallery

Hi all,

I have recently been putting an online art gallery website together for my sister and want some independent views on the layout and design.

On all previous websites my design skills have not been much to look at, but now my familly say this site is really good. The problem however being that because they are familly they are inclined to like it by default.

I am therefore posting the site up on here to get some independent reviews of the overall layout and design, good and bad please.

Very impressive. I only have two critiques. 1) imo, the image border should be switched: grey normally, white on hover. 2) The navigation seems slightly out of place, it doesn't match with the rest of the design.

I hadn't thought of this before you had said it, but I changed it temporarilly and I think you may well be right. I'll have to get some more opinions before i change it permenantley.

This is one of the main problems I had when putting the site together. I am not really sure of another design for the navigation just yet. If anyone has any better ideas then feel free to pitch them to me.

I think its really the gradient that makes it not match, the rest of the site is solid colors. So get rid of the gradient, maybe somehow incorporate the flowers in the navigation?
