size of page

Another quick question!

I am using fireworks to design the basics of my site.....

However, i am getting confused with the sizing of the page.

I was planning on transferring the finsihed background image into Dreamweaver, but i am unsure of the correct page dimensions.

It will be a square to take up nearly the whole screen, but no more.

In fireworks i have made my image around 2000 pixels in width/length.

Will it shrink to the size it looks in the program (which is correct) when i trasfer it over? Or will is still be massively huge!!!

I think this will probably be classed as a dumb question but help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: size of page

It will be 2000pixels when you move it.

When creating a site start with a lower size than the resolution of peoples screens, so lower than 1024x768 or if u wanna do a really small site then lower than 800x600.

It needs to be lower because somewhere along the lines something will expand.
