Re: Wanted a Globe animated - help
Duckyl,
Yep I read that wrong.
To answer the question.
(I am not in a place where I can do it right now, but I'll explain how I would do it to recreate one like you see, so someone else can do it. Unless I get home an no one has done it and then I'll do it).
Illustrator has a symbol of a flat world map. You could take the flat map and have one normal and one in reverse (for the reverse side of the globe). Then open up Photoshop and get a few layers set up. I could do it with as few as 2, but 4 is probably best. Set those up as the front start, front end, back start, back end. Then open up image ready and have it go from the start to end using transitions. That should do it. As it is simply a circle with a front and back moving to give the impression its turning. It isn't actually rolling around a 3D element.
Hopefully that makes more sense.

If you don't have the image in Illustrator, you can find one on Google images easily enough.
Create it in Photoshop and animate it in ImageReady (bundled with PhotoShop 8).
Save as a gif file and you have your spinning globe.
You can make it look as nice, or even better, than the example you wished to copy.
