Website Host

I hope Ive put this post in the right place!

Can anyone recommend a fairly reasonable site that i can buy a domain name and host my site from.

ideally id like a site that can support front page extensions.

1)Anyone got any recommendations, or views on using front page?

2)Is there any other application i could use which is as good that does require extensions?

Re: Website Host

They're quite specific requirements - you could probably get a better deal when looking around for a host if you were willing to buy the domain elsewhere? Is the domain name a specific requirement for you?

Site5 actually has cheap domains, too. $8.88 as I recall.

Ooh, it also supports the Frontpage extentions in its cheapest deal - that looks like a pretty good bet for you, ukez.

Re: Website Host

I use www.webfusion.co.uk, they do everything I need and much more, including a detailed statistics application, plenty of email options like forwarders, autoresponders, and actual email addresses.....

Doesnt cost an arm and a leg either at 11.69 per month

get plenty of space,
I get 25gb traffic a month,
750 email addresses.
unlimited email forwarders,
unlimited email autoresponders,
bonus offers,

and not had any downtime problems (touch wood) yet

Kind Regards,

Re: Website Host

I have been with them for about 3 or 4 months...so glad I found them...I think I am in heaven...lol, but also godaddy.com is good, and hostgator.com, but nothing beats site5.com, check for yourself!!

Re: Website Host

Its ok..

I was more interested in that site5 offer anyway, im gutted though as you can only pay by Visa and i dont have my visa card any more.

Is site5 legit? how can they do such a large package for such a small amount, whats the catch.. ive been looking through their terms and conditions to see if i can notice one.. T&C's are always so long winded dammit.

They dont support paypal either as of yet... oh well

Re: Website Host

Jacob and I both use site5. It's really quite amazing. I haven't experienced any downtime, nor problems. While I haven't had a need to contact customer support, Jacob tells me they're lightning fast. I personally recommend them to everyone

As for the payment, if you have the cash at hand, perhaps you could convince a family member or friend to use their card and you just give them cash.
