Fireworks Pop Up Menu Help

Hi.

I am building a site in Dreamweaver and Fireworks 8. I have created a pop up menu in FW and imported it into DW and everything works fine, however - if i need to add another menu item to the menu in FW it will only add the new item to one page and not update the pop up menu site wide. I believe you cannot use FW pop up menus as templates or library items in DW.....

Does anyone know a way to make a FW pop up menu change propagate through the DW site?

Thank You

Re: Fireworks Pop Up Menu Help

Moved this post as itis more of a web design question vs. flash.

But I believe the easiest way to do it is to use asp or php and use #includes for different sections of your site.

That way you can include a file called say menu.html. The include will reference a seperate file which means you could have the include on many different pages and updating just the 1 menu.html will update it site wide.

That is the only way I am familiar with, I am sure there are others.

Cheers! And thanks for moving the post. Anyone else have any ideas on this - without delving in to php or asp?

Re: Fireworks Pop Up Menu Help

Well afraid not. PHP sessions is the easiest way. This requires almost no PHP knowledge and is super simple. I would recommend using Google to find a tutorial on PHP sessions. Or heck you could probably search Webforumz and find one on here.

Good Luck!
