I am interested in building a social networking site, something like myspace or bebo where users can have their own profiles, change their profiles looks and things like that.

I understand that in order to build a social networking site you need to be able to either code one yourself from ground up or pay for social networking software.

Is there a good free social networking cms/script out there?

And can anyone point me in the right direction, thank you.
