A quick question. Been a long time.

Hello there, firstly I would like to say "Hi!". I'm new to the forum, and no doubt will be lurking about a lot. Right, I have just landed a new job - one of my duties is to build 5 websites, with a simple couple of pages having to be done for this Friday - Boss has a seminar.

I have built a good few sites before, but this was a long time ago. It's taking me sometime to get back into things.

Right, to my question.

I would like visitors to the site to enter, for instance, www.thisismysite11.com and be taken to a "Enter site" page. So, this page will obviously be the Index.page - however, I would like to hide the index.php in the address bar. In fact, instead of showing www.thisismysite11.com/feedback.php - can I not have it so it just says www.thisismysite11.com all the time? No matter what page they visit. So, I would just like to remove the .page from the address bar.

I know this can be done easy, but I'm not really sure how to do it.

Any posts, links would be well received.

Thanks loads.
Spencer

Hi SpencerK,

This can be done in a few ways. One of which is the easiest and many domain name providers offer this option. The option is to cloak the website with the domain. The other way to do this is to create an index page and the have a huge iFrame on the page with the content inside this.

Hope this helped,

regards,
Jj

Hello jjpeacha

How are you?

Thanks for answering my query. The Iframe looks like a bit of work, so when my boss finally gives me the login details for the hosting company, I'll have a look and see about if they do the cloak option.

Thank you very much for helping me out here..

Good day to you!

SpencerK
