Client wants to make simple updates

Hi, a client wants to be able to update his new website - simple things like a list of dates and a list of show awards. I'm reluctant to use a full CMS site because I'm only used to designing sites using HTML and Dreamweaver and wondered if either of these are a good solution:
Clover Content http://clovercontent.com/
or ClientEdit http://www.clientedit.com/
Will they do what I need? Or is there a better solution?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Client wants to make simple updates

Hi

You mention "client" which rather implies that you are creating websites commercially. If this is the case then you really should be learning some variant of scripting language in order that you can progress further with your business.

Dreamweaver is a useful tool but it only touches the tip of what is expected of a website design these days. CSS, databases, javascript the list is extensive but you should attempt to grasp the basics of dynamically generated webpages in order to progress with your web designs and then the situation you currently find yourself in will not present a problem.

Creating a CMS for just a few pages is not as daunting as it may seem and is a far better way of learning than trying to integrate an off the shelf solution. With the help of the thousands of pages across the web and the members of this forum I am certain you could add a simple CMS solution to your clients site and learn a lot in the process.

I have no knowledge of the programs you mention.

Hope this helps

GT
