CMS

It seems no matter how much I try I can't seem to get any right!

I am trying to incorporate my own design into Wordpress, have tried following many tutorials but I am really struggling. I'm more of a visual learner and following written instructions I find difficult.

I want to be able to design a site, make it, and then apply a simple CMS so that a client can add content to the pages themselves.

Is Wordpress the best thing for this or is there something a lot simpler?

Re: CMS

NM. Missed the double post. A seven page site? For that I would recommend something like Drupal. Avoid Joomla. The code it produces is terrible.

Re: CMS

Wordpress is a good tool, and even if it isn't the right fo rthis particular job, it is a great skill to have your back pocket for later on.

try these resources:
wordpress developers toolbox
design for wordpress - includes video tutorials
develop a WP theme

Good luck
