Hi I am pretty new to Dreamweaver and I want to know how I can make a certain sized text area in the middle of the page that a viewer can scroll through and read without moving the rest of the page. You know what I mean? Just make a small scrollable text box with it's own scroll bar seperate from the browser's main scroll bar. How can I do this in Dreamweaver? THanks a lot.

Make a layer. Choose its overflow to scroll.

Ok thank you. And also is there a way to get rid of the horizontal scroll bar? like theres one on the right and one on the bottom of the layer, but the one on the bottom isn't selectable visible so is there a way to get rid of it?

Just FYI: Scrollable anything is a bad idea really in web design. If people have to do something to see part of your page then some of them aren't going to do it. The more they have to do the more people aren't going to do it.

I would seriously consider looking at a non scrolling alternative.
