Hi, I don't know why things change constantly but I am constantly trying to fix something that changes daily. Anyway, this is my latest problem:
I have the copyright symbol (the enclosed C) in many places on my site. And suddenly everyone of those symbols changed to a - ? - so I went into Front Page 2003 and corrected them by doing an Insert - Symbol - Copyright symbol - and inserting it. Then when I uploaded to my site through FTP Commander - the symbol appeared BUT with an - A - character in front of it????? So all my changes resulted in the A and the C symbols???? Everything was fine until I noticed this change????
I have no idea how this happens or why it changed from one day to the next.
Using Vista Home Premium, Front Page 2003 - ftp Commander etc.

Just thought of something, I had NO DOCTYPE codes in my pages and recently put them in and now I think that might be the result if I put the wrong Doctype there. Think I used html 4.01????

Thanks, but it WAS the DOCTYPE code that was doing it. It had replaced all the Copyright symbols and also any punctuation as in - that's - and replaced the ' with a ? as well. Taking out that DOCtype infor at the top in code view eliminated all the copyright symbol problems but I still had to go through all the writing to correct the - ' -
Anyway it is displaying properly now. Thanks for your input.
