I have searched Google but can't find the script I need.

The effect:
Viewer mouses over text and a box containing expalanation pops up.

I know the basic javascript alert popup but I'd like a customised look that I can use css with if possible.

Is this best done with floating boxes? Can I get around popup blockers?

Any ideas appreciated.

It isn't possible to customise the alert popup and I'd heavily suggest against using an actual second window or anything like that, but you might like an alternative.
