Problem with background in MAC

I have three list box. when i move an item from listbox 1(m1) to 3(m3)
i need the option moved from m1 to m3 to be highlighted. i have used the following script. it is working well in IE but not in Safari(MAC). It works well in IE(MAC). any idea how to make it work in safari.

background color for an item in the list box is not working in safari. the above code doesnot work in safari. should i specify anyother stylesheet for safari?

A list box? Like an form input field? Then I doubt you'll be able to get it to work in Safari.
