RIA Web Developer Role

I work for a search firm specialising in the financial technology market. I hope I am not breaking any rules here but I wanted to reach out to any Flash experts here who might be interested in a permanent position with a hedge fund based in London, UK.

The business has grown rapidly and they now have several hundred employees in London as well as offices worldwide. To support this growth, there are a number of Greenfield projects planned to enhance intranet based collaboration tools and external systems for managing client portfolios.

They are seeking to build a suite of dynamic web applications deployed on the desktop so need an RIA expert with Actionscript skills, Flash and particularly Flex AIR knowledge. Alongside this, strong skills in HTML and associated technologies - styling with CSS, XML languages etc. - would be advantageous.

Formal academics are held in high regard here as they are looking for evidence of a commitment to excellence and attention to detail from your education onwards. That means a good GPA/UK 2:1 or 1st class from a world top 100 undergraduate school. Ideally you'll have a Masters degree or other further formal qualifications which demonstrate your expertise and higher level of thinking.

The role is within a flat-structured and dynamic team which tends away from the "clock-in clock-out mentality" of other financial firms. As such, you'll have an excellent chance to gain experience of the industry and work autonomously, proving yourself from Day One. Base salary will be commensurate with experience but you can expect up to 4 months base salary bonus plus profit share and other benefits. The role is based in London, UK but there will be the opportunity for international travel (including spending some time in the Carribean) if this is of interest.
