Hey everyone!
You all know me, but I'm Jack - I am the administrator of the new resources section!
“Creative Coding”, the WebForumz newsletter you may remember was retired some time ago due to the sheer man power and man hours required to keep it running -not to mention the sheer pressures of deadlines and all the stress that goes with it. The resources section recycles all our old newsletter content and also acts as an immense platform on which new articles can be added by anyone, at any time without pressure.
Not only do we have the same fantastic articles, tutorials, and tips & tricks written by great web designers and developers, but we also have a layout and search functionality to help you find what you need easily and quickly.
We are also moving towards a “repository of knowledge” based approach, so out goes the old monthly releases and in comes rolling updates. This allows us to bring new articles and tutorials to you at a realistic pace, when they are written, whilst giving you the freedom to read them when you like.
With this in mind, there are a few privileged positions available within what is affectionately been dubbed the “Resource team” that need filling:
Proof Reader
The job of the proof reader is to ensure the content we place within the new section is of the best quality. Not only are you responsible for checking each article for factual correctness but also to ensure that each article we receive are free from spelling or grammatical mistakes.
Tester
A busy role for any individual! If you have great knowledge of internet technologies then you would be ideally placed to test the solutions presented within the articles that are submitted. We want to ensure that all content placed within the new section is factually correct and will work as designed. Any tutorials must be tested to make sure they work properly and that there are no errors. This is an exciting and fun role.
Graphics Editor
Once our articles have been proof-read and tested, they need to have images within them to display in and alongside the article. The job of the Graphics Editor is to find high quality images, that we can legally use, to attach to the articles. Also, you may be required to make images for articles yourself, so good graphic skills are a requirement. This would suit anybody who wants some extra clout on their CV and can a little of their time.
Please can you PM myself (Jack Franklin) with the position you would like to apply for and explain why you should have the position. I recommend you use this format below:
