Re: Free PHPBB?
I love vanilla, it's just brilliant. Don't know why I love it though. I've used phpBB before as well and it's very good and has great support.

Vanilla eh?
Thanks for the links.
Are there advantages/disadvantages of one over the other?

Re: Free PHPBB?
Some have more features than the other. I have found phpBB to be very well featured - lots of stuff you can do with it. Vanilla does all those forum things too but certain features may require an additional add-on. To be honest they tend to be much of a muchness. But I think phpBB has been around for longer so that might be your best bet and there are also loads of skins available. Take a look at all three (I know nothing about punBB) and see what you fancy.
Let us know what you decide or if you find anything out.
Pete.

Re: Free PHPBB?
I note you're in Wiltshire .... we run several SMF boards from a Wiltshire base if you needed to see any demos of the admin, get comments / advise, etc
