help needed with myphpadmin and oscommerce

Hi,

I am looking at using the oscommerce programme, and am now with a host that has php, and mysql databases. When I go to create a database using myphpadmin, I am completely lost!

I want to learn how to create a shop using oscommerce as I go, but am stuck because the first line in oscommerce manual is:

'using phpmyadmin or another tool, create your database and user, and assign that user to the database. Write down the name of the database, username, and password for this database for the database installation procedure.'

I just need to know what table do i add, and what fields etc? Or pointed towards an online tutorial which might help me?

Many thanks again!

Ben

Re: help needed with myphpadmin and oscommerce

The instructions don't say to create any tables or fields. It just says to create a database. I have never used oscommerce, but most likely it will create the tables and fields.

Thanks for that!

Have learnt my lesson to read the instructions properly!! Will try that when I get the mysql database running with my host, and will let you know the result!

Thanks again!
