Re: Google index updates

I just read the link you provided, and I point to my previous post mentioning that none of that link's info applies to this site. As a local, small non-profit organization holding roughly 20 active members, no spamming or bad internet tactics were ever employed. I'm rather personal with the organization and I can assure you that they're more concerned with the hard of hearing than website hits

Links. And traffic data collected by the Google toolbar. And number of clicks on Google SERPs...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your coding and/or linking strategy. I didn't mean to imply this... But based on what I know and my experience, I conclude that something is not right with regards to the site's PR assignment after a year of being online.

But this isn't necessarily a bad thing! As you said, it's the website of a non-profit organization and they're not exactly competing for traffic.

I wouldn't consider those to be of any value to the site's worth, either.

Yeah, all I'm saying in my experience is that PR means little. I love saying my site has a PR of 4, lol, but it means nothing in all actuality. Specific keywords are the awesomest of things!

Speaking SEO, I read one of Sypher's articles yesterday and found it to be very informative. Thought I'd share

I know dude! I agree!
We're going round in circles because I normally work against very tough competition and PR0 is a symptom of a site's bad ranking...
This isn't your case however, because your content is very specifc. And the fact you show up on the frontpage for the right keywords means you've done a good job

Re: Google index updates

Hehe, okay.

I do think the whole PR hype is over exaggerated. From what I understand, it used to play a lot bigger role in determining SERPs a few years ago. I read a wonderful article about it, but I can't find it now
