Question about SEO on Google? (Newb)

I tried to add Keywords on my clients page in the code, but I am using a Header/Footer.asp so I am unsure where to add the keywords.

Just simply wanting to setup a client's web site so when you type in the web page name in Google, it will show sub-categories underneath the page title. I see it quite a bit on other search results.

Perfect Example is type in 'NASCAR' on Google.

The first result will be NASCAR.com, and notice the sub-categories underneath - (Schedule, News, Standings, etc).

How do I set that up for my website?

Thanks
J

You should check out this post from the past, that discusses quite a bit about Google 'sitelinks'.

In summary, you can only have so much control over it - at the end of the day it is down to Google (and the search query itself) whether your result gets 'sitelinks' or not!

Hi BlackReef,
First of all, the keywords you should keep to remember is closer to the name of the domain name. and try to use some features of Google and other social media. Bookmarkings is the best way for the domain's name to be displayed like "NASCAR" .
In addition, Google teams developed lot of services for everyone will have opportunity to be display on top.
Some important details and updates will be great help. Every SEO starts on the basic. So I highly recommend this article Seo Common Terms Definitions

Thanks

see you...

Re: Question about SEO on Google? (Newb)

It is very simple. Don't do nothing for Google. Have a title that best describes the content of the web page. Add some information about the page content in the description and in "keywords" place those keywords and phrases that users can find on the same page. Do not spam SE robots and do not try to false them.
