Maintaining Keyword Density

How important is keyword density for a good search? Is it a very crucial factor to keep in mind while writing content? Does it plays a very important role in SEO?

Re: Maintaining Keyword Density

Search Engines judge what your webpage is about based upon the keywords in your content. It is highly advisable that you properly use header tags and strong/em to highlight things which are important.

So far as keyword density, it is important but readability to is more so. There is no point in writing a webpage for a search engine if people get annoyed and frustrated by it. Work out what your key words are then try to use them while you write your content.

If you want the 'web design' key words then when writing your content use 'web design'. Don't interchange it with web site design or web application design or web development as this will dilute your message to search engines.

Its all about thinking what you want to write and then inserting key words as you go.

Re: Maintaining Keyword Density

It matters more on other search engines than google, but does amount to a small boost.

Re: Maintaining Keyword Density

Use maximum 7% of density for each keyword that is best.

Re: Maintaining Keyword Density

you are absolutely right. You need to concentrate on keyword density of your content. It should exceed its limit, otherwise your content looks spam in search engine eyes.
