Re: SEO Process Stepwise for a new website

Start with ON Page Optimization such as Keyword Research, Site Analysis, Geo Target etc. then after that do the OFF Page Optimization - includes the basics of Link Building...such as Social Bookmarking, Forum Postings, Directory Submission, Classified Ads Posting etc...

Re: SEO Process Stepwise for a new website

If starting totally fresh, then chose a CMS with plenty of good SEO additions. I still think that Wordpress is the best, with configurable permalinks, plenty of plugins (random, related posts etc.) and SEO packs to help control on page aspects.

Really once you have chosen a good CMS / template it is about quality content and quality links. Write good content articles, posts etc. Stick to the 300-500 word range. Ensure good English (grammer & spelling) and that it is written for people. Do not keyword stuff.

Then get links.

Re: SEO Process Stepwise for a new website

I think sometimes you can worry too much about the steps and methods involved with SEO, if you keep it simple and make sure you add good quality content you should be fine. At the end of the day if your website is interesting enough people will come to it, and from that you will gain links. Do the SEO basics and make sure that the most time spent is on making fresh and original content.
