Good tips; I totally agree. SEO requires incredible patience for it to pay off. I think, also, that part of this requires one to take advantage of as many cheap/free resources as possible. Link directories still help; every little bit helps. A good place for someone to start is probably Adwido, to help build links and add to your exposure.
