How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
Hello Everyone,
Linda (Lchad) and I were curious about how Webforumz has helped you become a better designer? I doesn't matter if you are still learning, just starting out or experienced.
These are my thoughts.
I found Webforumz through Google. At first I wasn't exactly sure how useful it would be until joined and started looking through the posts. Right off the bat, at least 4 or so questions I had (layout, images, code, and get rid of tables) were answered. And when I posted my website for Critique....I knew why I liked the forumz. Honest fair evaluation and suggestions on how to improve. Webforumz, quite honestly, saved me from pulling all my hair out. I love the fact that I am learning from experienced designers who know how to do things the right way. Thank you, Webforumz.

I also found webforumz through Google and before that I had no clue that Web2.0 or Validation or div and CSS layouts existed and still lived in the Dark Ages of table layouts without CSS. After learning a bit more about it, I wuz hooked and I thank webforumz for that.

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
I joined ages ago and then didn't come back for a while then I came back. I actually didn't know I had an account until I was told that my email was still on the system. Anyway, I returned and posted a critique and then I kind of got stuck in.
Webforums has informed my decisions as goes accessibility and web standards to a huge degree, I've learnt a lot since I first came here. I now ask myself why I am doing something in a certain way rather than simply choosing the easiest option, and that is thanks to Webforumz and the unbelievably knowledgeable community here.
Thanks to every one.
Pete.

Hmmm, I found Webforumz though Google, but that is about all I can remember. I don't really remember how or why I joined, but I am sure glad I did. I will post more later, after I sleep some!

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
I ran across Webforumz randomly while searching in Google. First thing I did was submit my site for critique, and I received scores of helpful responses. I was already using CSS and XHTML for sites, but I didn't know a lick about SEO back then. I think I forgot about WF for a while, but then I found it again and became addicted

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
I also came via Google. I like how there’s such a wide range of people with differing skill levels, and it’s not just about those with the greatest knowledge feeding down to those with the least, everyone's contributions are important. Web designing can be a bit of a lonely pursuit, and it's comforting to know that others are struggling just as much as you are, hehe! I’ve definitely learnt loads on here. Thank you to all

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
Well for one thing, As a designer. I didn't care about validation so as long as it worked. I had finally found a tool online that helped me fix my websites to par. Likly I use common sense and all my sites had 10 erros or less.
Also it helped me build some of the seal portal.
8/10 -- thats my rating on this sight. I love the sight. Could use less load/wait time tho.

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
I found this site through google. I really am interested in web developement and want to do things the right way. I didnt know anything before and I started out using tables for layout because that was the first way I was told how to make a layout until I came here and found out that css is MUCH easier... there is still one question that I still have that hasnt been really answered: what is the lifestyle of a life with a career in webdesign? Is it a laid back day or is it a busy day? do you have to work in an office? do you work for a specific company? CAN you work for a specific company or can you do your own thing and design for many people? Can someone answere those for me PLEASE

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
Well, I guess google has a lot to answer for! I too found this place via google and even though I have only been a member for a week or too, I'm glad I found it.
Everyone is so helpful here and when I finally pluck up the courage to ask for critique, I'm sure I'll get the helpful answers I need.

Re: How has Webforumz helped you as a web designer?
I found WF through Rob. We worked together on another forum and I said I was stuck with some coding and he directed me here.. Went from there really.
WF has been very helpful with the questions I have had! Dunno what I'd do without it sometimes.
