Photosynth - wow, just wow
Just watched a video on MS's new photosynth technology, and I just have to say wow.
Take a look at the application here.

I know....... it's been a long while since I have been this excited about a product.
I have just been checking out the bbc 'how we built britain' section.
absolutly fantastic.
I can't wait until this get's into beta so that we can really see what it can do.

Re: Photosynth - wow, just wow
I must say it looks nice, but so did Vista...hehe. Again, it is made by Microsoft, I am a little skeptical.

Re: Photosynth - wow, just wow
Ya, it does look interesting, but like Jacob said...It is microsoft....Boy, it would be nice if we knew we don't have to wait 5 years before they get all the bugs out. Perhaps a short pray to the computer gods on behalf of Billy boy.....

Re: Photosynth - wow, just wow
That said microsoft produce some brilliant software. Look at MS Office. Say what you want but it is the best Office suite on the market. (...And if any mac users say that iWork is better then they're lying or don't know what they're talking about. Simple.)
This software looks amazing and I want to play with it. When (if) it surfaces I'm gonna take 10 000 photo's of my house. I should start now really.

Re: Photosynth - wow, just wow
Used variations....and then I discovered Open Office. Now that is what I call a group of programs....my opinion you understand.

Re: Photosynth - wow, just wow
I like it because its free but feature for feature, I have to go with MS Office. The Price difference matters though, I have to agree.

I know the feeling.
I don't think even a bigger hamster and a bigger wheel would have any chance of getting my computer running this thing.
At the moment, if my computer goes any slower it'll start going backwards.

Re: Photosynth - wow, just wow
Hahaha...yeah I am not really sure my computer would run that type of application either, and to think my computer has 4GB of RAM and a nice video card. It is just that seems really graphic intensive...lol.
