Help with Wordpress

I'm working on my blog website, but I need a CMS to keep it updated! I have decided to go with wordpress, but I have no idea how to install it, or how to customize it.

If you know where I could find some good tutorials (or if someone is willing to help me), could you please reply here!

Thanks,
Pádraig

Re: Help with Wordpress

Isn't wordpress a bit much for your needs? Have you looked at textpattern. I think its a bit simpler but its good for simple stuff. Or, shock horror(!), build one. A simple CMS like this would take no time and would be good practice.

Wordpress is brilliant though. I prefer to build my layout and just insert the codey bit rather than doing the whole separate segments of a page thing. After I have it all going, I can change common elements back to simple includes but that's just me.

Pete.

Re: Help with Wordpress

I had a look at textpattern, but it really confused me! I think I have started to get the hang of wordpress now.

Someday I'll build my own CMS, but that day is far away!
