Okanecert

Okanecert! What the heck?

I just read about another pointless SEO contest from one of our blogs.

http://www.webforumz.com/blogs/golfreak76/okanecert-27/

Ok, so this isnt the biggest contest in the world, but even so I fail to see the point.
  • okanecert is not a word
  • okanecert means nothing!
  • okanecert is very very easy to rank for!
Ranking highly for any word that does not exist is guaranteed if you place up a page about that word. In this case okanecert as best as I can understand it was a small competition set by a class teacher.

Whilst I take my hat off to the guy for coming up with something to get his pupils busy and off their asses, I cant see why the SEO contest couldnt be for a not so common phrase using real words.... that to me seems far more of a contest.

Choose a search that already has some results... not many but some... say 2-3 thousand. okanecert has 255 results... how many did it have before this competition? My point is that choosing okanecert really is little competition at all. In it's defense, it is however a lot of fun getting top for something... even if it is a non sensical word such as okanecert.

Okanecert is a completely made up word but it is not totally without meaning

Re: Okanecert

It does seem very pointless.
The websites (sub)domain seems to be made of nonsensical, mjade-up words too.

Re: Okanecert

Yeah, what kind of word is okanecert? Pointless if you ask me, okanecert...how is that pronounced? I bet you are trying to get a high ranking on okanecert are you not Rob? The way you said okanecert in your post, and bolded it as such makes it obvious. What a fun game, Webforumz = #1 for okanecert!

Indeedy, all this talk of Okanecert - regardless of what it means or where it originates from - makes me wonder whether Web Forumz will get to the top of the Google Rankings for Okanecert.

Re: Okanecert

Okanecert, I wonder how long it will take Webforumz to get right up to number 1 on google for Okanecert. It is an odd word isn't it? Okanecert, I mean.
I'm not terribly fond of the word okanecert. I don't know why I keep saying Okanecert ..
