Seo

3 times this month I have been approached by SEO companies to provide them with our services. We do not like turning work away but there is not a chance in hell I would work for a SEO provider. It goes to show how low this sector is getting, when SEO companies want their own sites optimising.

Well its Friday again, thank god.

Re: Seo

It goes to show that many SEO companies are actually just ripping their customers off (not all, but it seems like quite a few wannabes are).

On other forums, I see people called "BobSEOExpert" or "SEOServicesIndia" or something as a screen name, and then these members asking really basic/stupid questions like "how do I get lots of visitors in 48 hours?" or "are link exchanges a good idea?" These people are SUPPOSED to know since they're charging for their non-existent skills! I know there are legitimate SEO people out there - it just seems a lot of idiots/scammers are giving them a bad name

You should make thier SEO worse and see if they notice . Not that they will. Infact, ask them what SEO stands for

Re: Seo

whym you are exactly right.

I often ask the question who is awarding the titles of guru and expert. They run a mile.

It is true the sector is in a right mess, there are a group of us doing some work to try and clean up the UK market. It will take time and we have just started, however it will be a small step in the right direction.

Re: Seo

Lol I think that would be a little harsh! Then again, they're being mean to their customers by ripping them off.... I'm unsure!

Re: Seo

There might be people that admitting that they are SEO gurus for some reason but how can you prove that they're actually not?

As on my case, I admit that I am a noobie in the SEO world but I'm glad that step by step I am learning.

In fact, I too is the SEO of our design site. Since we are also providing SEO services, I needed to study SEO. Well, I'm thankful that it's already a PR5 site (some people already optimized the site) before I started handling it, I'm just here to maintain it. AND i really work as one of the Account Executives of the site. (handling clients as such...)

I know b.s.u. is one of the very good SEO in the forum and other members as well.

Re: Seo

I once read a funny article from Google about this.
Apparently they get e-mails every day from 'experts' informing Google that -

"We noticed your website cant be found in the search engines and would like to offer our services"

Oh the irony just kills me...
