Which forum software do you like best?
Hey guys,
I thought I would just put this here instead of in a design/development forum, lol... I'm curious as to which forum software you like most... I have phpBB but am tempted to change IF the other forum software site lets you have add-ons and stuff like phpBB does.
Thanks and God Bless,
-Nathaniel

Re: Which forum software do you like best?
Obviously VB, as it's paid for and therefore has greater control over the forums.

Re: Which forum software do you like best?
vBulletin!
When I start up a forum, I always open up on phpBB (that way if it flops, I don't lose much) then when it hits about 100 - 150 members, I upgrade to vBulletin with no loss of posts or anything

IPB and SMF are the only one's i've used, SMF is better, in my opinion.

Re: Which forum software do you like best?
Yeah impex It also has a dead code cleaner Took me about 20 minutes to import phpBB (that included a test run).
vBulletin isn't expensive if you buy the owned license a one off payment (unless you want yearly updates for the software and the updates are cheap) for a piece of kit that is absolutely amazing is well worth it.

Re: Which forum software do you like best?
In addition to the Impex comment, the only problem with it, is that when you have imported to vBulletin, members have to click the "forgotten password" button, so they can reset their passwords.
