The Working Dead

Found this interesting article on Digg:
http://www.lifereboot.com/2007/the-working-dead/

How many of you folks will admit to being a member of the Working Dead?

Re: WeWoNePo ~ 25 Oct. 2007 ~ The Working Dead

I for one can say for certain that I am *not* one of the working dead.

I work for an airline in operations, airport support and yield management. It is physically impossible for me to nap through a day. If I did thousands of passengers would be stranded and our business would go broke very very quickly (as airlines tend to do)...

Ahh, but to be one of the working dead.

Re: WeWoNePo ~ 25 Oct. 2007 ~ The Working Dead

Hmmm ... I wouldn't say that I'm part of the group but there are certain times when I am. When my end of the coding is done and I have to wait for someone else to finish their part, etc..

Re: The Working Dead

You retire, like I did. When you can do your job without thinking, it is time to change. What is interesting is that my present work is similar to what I did at a corporation, but I am really enjoying myself because it is my work, all my work.
