MSN Messenger
Before you read this, its just a question.
Is msn messenger, the newest version easy to hack, no i dont hack and i cant, im just wondering because someone says they are going to hack me and turn all my friends against me, just wondering what the security is like on it? is it possible, or if so will msn not find out?
Kind Regards
Stormraven.

MSN is pretty secure but I'm not sure if it's impossible. Anyone ever hack MSN?

Re: MSN Messenger
I think MSN Messenger itself would be pretty difficult to hack, but your Hotmail account probably wouldn't.
I know there is a few ways to get into someone's account then just log in as them.
So maybe increase the security of your password and secret Q/A ?
But they're most likely just bluffing.

Re: MSN Messenger
Blake121, you said hotmail is easy to get into? Do you mean by guessing someone's password or secret question and answer?
Kind Regards
Stormraven.

Re: MSN Messenger
Yeah passwords are easy to hack - it is unbelievable how many people have password or password1 as their password.
Make sure you have a hard, secure and hard to guess password - compiling of numbers and symbols.
Also make sure your security password is hard to guess.

Re: MSN Messenger
I would have thought that MS would have some script to stop stupid passwords like "Password1" and the such.
I think someone trying to hack into MS would be pretty difficult, getting in legitimatly via your password is the only way, as the advice above says, make sure you have a string password, alpha numeric, and not that guessable. i.e. not <yearofbirth><initial><lastname><dayofbirth> or some other combination - that is one of the most common and easiest to guess if you half know someone.

Terminal servers have a default policy for this.

Re: MSN Messenger
Don't worry too much about it mate, they'll be bluffing. Make sure your password is strong and call their bluff. Say something like "I suppose you're going to anally rape my mother while pouring sugar in my petrol tank too yeah? Get a life!"

Re: MSN Messenger
So many people are stupid enough to get phished! Some of the phishing sites are pretty real looking though.
