Re: Big Mac
I really don't think Macs are that expensive. $600 for a Mac Mini and $1100 for a MacBook. Sure, there's always going to be that $800 Dell laptop, but for the extra $300 dollars you can get one sweet laptop.
When someone sees someone with a Mac, they're usually like, "Ooh, Mac. Nice!" I've never heard someone say, "Ooh, Hewlett Packard. Nice!" There's a good reason for that.

Re: Big Mac
Haha.. nice one Blake!
My dell was £1,000 (VAT not included (VAT is 17.5%)) but it is cheaper than a MacBook Pro, but still has better specs......

Re: Big Mac
No, I think not! I have tried macs, and don't see any real reason why to use them - i can get the same spec windows PC for cheaper and it does what i need. Plus my dad owns a Software company, that specializes in .NET, etc.... That a good enough excuse for you?
Just because i aint on your bandwagon, i am not ignorant.

Re: Big Mac
No real reason to use Macs?!? WRONG! You are so clueless! Go back and read some of those earlier posts. There's reason enough!

Re: Big Mac
Sweet jesus! You just don't let up!
Can't you see the irony that you are being the ignorant one by being so simple, one track minded, and only accepting that one type of computer can be good. The computers can have equal specifications for gods sakes!
Just because someone bitches about PC's and Windows in whatever blog that no-one reads., It Doesn't make them bad. Over 95% of the world use PC's and the Windows operating systems. It must have something going for it.
The reason people have so many problems with it are the fact that there are more people to use the system and break it in different ways. If Mac had the same kind of user base, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't still be rejoiced and praised.

Re: Big Mac
lol.. is this for entertainment? looool.. Cuz I'm getting lots of laughs out, lol.. I will admit. Macs are good some think they are better than Windows, but honestly. A Mac Can get a virus just like a Windows computer... Everything people say isn't true, lol.. Infact, a friend i know had a Mac book Pro for a little under a month and he got a virus on it which ate the Mac book up. Windows on the other hand.. Well, Yes it may be easy to get a virus, but um.... Isn't that why they made Anti-Virus Software? LOOOOL. In my opinion the Windows run faster than Macs and not to mention are cheaper, looool... My friend new Mac book is as slow as a snail.. and he payed over $1500.00 for it... My on the other hand bought a windows pc and have never had ANY problems with it... Until it was um dropped, lol...

Uh...WHAT?!? Either your friend isn't using it right or he did something really bad to it. A new Mac is always faster than a new Windows PC!

Re: Big Mac
There is no way! Unless it wasn't from Apple. Whenever you buy a computer from some other retailer, who knows what they've done to it.

I guess you haven't seen a gateway one yet then
You could also encase you PC in wood to make it look pretty if you wanted to
But really, who cares, it's how it performs that matters, not what it looks like.
As someone has already pointed out, 95% of the working world uses PC's and windows, so they must be doing something right for all these people to be using it.
P.S. this laptop looks great...
