It was a deep cave in Spain: Fisura Chica ("Chicago"), in the Picos de Europa.

I didn't discover the whole cave, but I was the first to drop into this particular part of the cave, take a few steps, and then back off from the gaping chasm. I was standing on "false floor": a section of rock that overhangs a big drop.

There were three of us on that particular trip, but we were part of a larger expedition to explore the cave. You never know what you'll find until you get down there. On this particular trip, the three of us found about 150m of vertical extension.

Many of the other cavers on this expedition had discovered new parts of caves countless times; but for me, this was the first big find.

There will be another expedition to this cave next summer, but I probably won't be going -- I'm recovering from shoulder surgery.

I found it on Amazon once. Cant remember the ISBN number - it's about Matthew Flinders - I was a co-author.

Was prefect at my old school, didn't get nominated for head boy because i was constantly slagging the school off

i once took the piss out of gingers, wasn't a good move as i found out a second later when i remembered that my girlfriends little sister was ginger

Lol! It was funny because I know someone who had been taking the p*ss out of me for being head boy, but really wanted to be on TV! Kicked his @ss lol! That day was awesome. I got to meet Kelly Holmes, have lunch with her, give her a tour of the school. (I have not recieved the autograph I was promised though

)
