POP3 email set up?

When you are setting up your email pop3 account in microsoft outlook 2003 or 2007 for your email account you got with your web hosting, do you really need to follow all the advanced settings as in
http://products.secureserver.net/ema...il_outlook.htm

I thought you just completed the first page and that incoming and outgoing server was always "mail.yourdomain.co.uk"?

Have I got this completely wrong or do you need to complete the advanced settings?

Cheers and sorry if I have posted in the wrong room guys!

Moved to the WebForumz Cafe

PHP is not at all related to your mail server, and theres no specific forum for email problems, so I'll stick it in the cafe.

And your incoming and outgoing servers are not always mail.mydomain.com, its completely dependent on your host.
