Hi Manila,

General Discussions like this should go in the Cafe. I'll move the thread there for you.

Re: rising prices of petrol

It's ironic now that in the uk, the tankers can't afford the petrol to take the petrol to the pumps.

The strikes are going to put further strain on it... but it won't be too long before it cripples alot of countries and alot of people.

It's aweful, the government should just subsidise it or something ¬.¬

I don't think that will happen any soon! In fact, I think it will raise again in the following year!

People would if they were available and cost effective.

Hybrid cars are becoming more common, but they're still expensive.

Public transport it so unreliable...

Nuclear energy is good, but people still moan because of the waste... but it's much less than oil in the short term, but in the longterm probably not.

The price of fuel going up with the shortage of grain... basic foods are going to skyrocket & with the increase of child and pensionar poverty in the UK i think this could be bad news =/

Hey maybe in 50 years we'll have nuclear fusion... i vaguely remember this from the news about a year and a bit ago.... but i can't find the right article... but here are some similar ones

Article one (BBC)
Article two (BBC)
