storing and allowing mp3 downloads?

I can build a basic website and paste code. I have a relaxation CD Website were I sell CDs. It is very simple and I use paypal or ccnow. I have converted my audio to mp3 format and would like to sell it on my site. I really don't know where to start. I am looking at www.digitalgoodsstore.com but I can't get all the info I need. I want to download the whole CD, not just tracks. To make the CD work, a person needs the whole CD and of they get one track, they may not know how to propery use it. Anyway, I want to know if you guys have any suggestions for an .mp3 transaction server? I would love to host on someone elses site or FTP. I have 8 CDs and I will eat up my bandwidth very quickly.

Again, can someone give me tips on the basic process of mp3 downloads and good companies to the content.

Thanks.

Re: storing and allowing mp3 downloads?

A quick google search produced this script: http://www.maianscriptworld.co.uk/fr...tem/index.html

Regarding hosting, you'll probably need to look at virtual private servers. Alternatively, speak to some hosting companies to get their opinion - especially those who say 'unlimted bandwidth'. Perhaps posting a separate hosting enquiry under the Hosting & Domains section, another user may well be able to guide you in the right direction.

Won't you run into some copyright issues with this?

Re: storing and allowing mp3 downloads?

depeding on the requirements for bandwidth, ebay may be a good place to look for hosting but beware dont fall for the unlimited bandwith and unlimited everything hosts, these get choked by sellers and resellers and so on, instead look the company up that you may be interested in taking hosting with, check feedback and always look to see if they have a support desk with live help rather than a ticket system - this normally implies that they have employees managing their support rather than letting it rot in their email accounts.

good luck
