Legit web host review site?

A Google search turns up plenty of sites that list the "best" web hosts, but which of them can be trusted most?

The trick is, always look for the "Actual reviews" and ignore the "top-ten" lists as these are normally pay-per-click advert's

We use webhostingstuff.com for reviews because it forces people to verify themselves, and the review they submit, and checks that reviews dont originate from duplicate IP's (To prevent people submitting reviews about themselves, or multiple reviews), but the "top ten" is all guff, people pay to be on the top ten list, and its always the big american companies who oversell like crazy anyway, so there not even worth clicking on.

We raised that complaint several times with webhostingstuff.com as its mis-leading, and if you actually do hunt around the internet for what people are saying about a lot of these "top-ten" companies, some of them really are awful, so they guys at webhostingstuff.com have recently changed they way web sites are rated, but we shall have to wait and see how this pans out, and see if it really does provide a more "honest" presentation.

If you follow that rule on pretty much every hosting review website, then you *should* be ok.

Just a shame such a big reviews website doesnt actually verify those who submit reviews at all, thus how can the reviews be trusted that there not just made up?

Go ahead, try it for yourself, submit a review, pop in your email address and you will see that within a few days, the review is authorised and now live, no verification to prove you even exist

Good reviews could all be from employee's, and bad reviews could be the same people over and over, or competitors...

At least webhostingstuff.com actually does verify a reviewers existence, and doesnt allow multiple reviews on the same thing from the same IP's

I'm fairly amazed actually at how EVERY review web site just doesnt get it..
They ALL have something majorly wrong with them that seriously lets them down..

Unless of course there's a great one we have missed?
