Re: frames or not to frame

1) target=" _top"

2) Rob was right! Frames are a PITA to deal with. Search engine hates 'em and I do too when wanting to bookmark a certain page ... I can't!!!

Ditch 'em!

Why are you using them anyways? What purpose are they serving for you?

3) depends what you answered for 2)

Re: frames or not to frame

Just thought I would take a second to clarify one main reason frames are bad for you and the end user. First off, frames are pretty hard to get listed on Google, and even if you do manage to get them listed, you can have some major problems. Normally with a frame based site your navigation is within one frame and the content is within another. Well this can create dramatic problems when Google just indexes your links, and the user searches Google, and finds your site, and clicks the first link and they get just the links. Thats all they see because they are not within your frame set, of course there are work arounds for this, as there are work arounds for everything, but it would be much more worth your time to invest it in an XHTML/CSS compliant website.

Re: frames or not to frame

Frames overall are just unappealing to you page and makes you look like a novice at web design. If you take that top frame off your site would already function better and be more apealing to the eye. And on your header, i do believe thats a wallpaper for microsoft desktops. You might wanna get rid of that in case the bring you up for copyright laws. Thats just 2 of the things that i saw that you could improve on. Yes, you can make you "frame like" object with css/xhtml so learn it live it and love it. Because thats one less page you have t make. And it makes google like you better.
