Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
I like it better without columns. I'd rather see more topics at once. When the topics go all the way across the page, it gives it more of a community feel and it's a lot easier to check out which one you want to visit. Also, it's just a really long scroll now.
Highlighting the competition winners is fine, but I'd rather have it put into the single-column layout.
The green is nice, and the header is ok. I hate to say it, but I actually like the "you last visited" code. It's funny to see these things from the consumer perspective.

Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
I agree with masonbarge. I don't like the scrolling half a mile down thing at the very least shorten the descriptions of forums. Other than that I haven't a complaint about the new design. Looks pretty good.
By the way was this what the email was about? I got an email from the admin but all it said was: Dear crazyluv,
Weird.

Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
Hi,
Apologies for the extreme short email which is totally my fault.
Forum descriptions will now only show once you have actually clicked into the forum. I think it's acceptable that way because most people will know instinctively what to expect inside ' HTML Forum' for instance.
Is this better?

Its beautiful,
I would point out that it doesn't validate, but I noticed you already mentioned that in another thread so I won't yet ;-)
The colours and the layout are both great.

That can't be a pleasant task.
Yeah I like how it looks without the description although it looks kind of weird and empty but that is only because I am used to the old version. I like that you didn't remove the description completely only moved them which to me suits it quite well. Although they aren't really instantly noticable but I wouldn't change that unless there was an uproar in miss post (which I doubt will happen).

Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
It looks a little friendlier than the old skin (maybe the use of the odd extra colour), and seems to handle a lot more easily and quickly.
I approve of the transferral of the different descriptions away from the main page. Was a bit much as it was.
Is it wider than it used to be as well? Or is it just me?

Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
Seems, well almost identical to that created by www.vbseo.com
Or should i say heavily inspired. Of course i love the design, it is just so usable and professional. Although i am not too sure about the color scheme combining light blue with peach.

Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
It's no big secret...
Juan (from vbseo) gave me the starting skin, which I've modified a little. I'll also be making it fully XHTML compliant.
Very nice jesture from Juan, because I needed a replacement skin urgent due to critical IE issues which made this site unusable.

Re: New Webforumz Design.... Feedback (Bugs?? naaa)
Speed! Its so fast now. I like it, it looks so much easier on the eyes. I love it.
Its fresh, airy and the fact that each page loads fast and I am not stuck anymore using IE is great.
(Yes I use IE and will continue to do so as I dont like the other browsers functuality -- and please no comments on this as it is MY choice. My kids use Opera and FF, so the choice is there for every person who uses the PC. But I prefer using IE (and so do 90% of the people visiting my websites)).
Job well done!
Daniela
