how to use templates

hi, i want to use a template and edit it and then add to a free webhost such as www.freewebs.com. how can i edit it and how can i add it to a website? please help me.

You will need an html editor or a program such as dreamweaver to edit the html code. You may also need a graphics program if you want to edit or alter graphics.

The template won't need to be added to a website, since it will be the website.

Yeah, you will also need a website host, and a domain. That way your website can be viewable by everyone!
